Which role is right for me?
As a diverse organisation with a wide range of divisions and business units we have a huge variety of role types to choose from.
Couriers – Without our couriers we couldn’t get the job done. We have a large dedicated fleet from cycles couriers to large trucks supplying overnight and urgent services across the country. Our couriers operate as contractors so you must be confident running your own business and cover the set up costs involved. Fleet – Our fleet staff ensure our courier fleet runs smoothly, providing support to our courier contractors to ensure we are delivering our freight to service level agreements. Typical roles would be Fleet Managers, Assistant Fleet Managers, and Fleet Support. We also have people working behind the scenes in roles like Fleet Development and Fleet Optimisation. Fleet roles involve lots of people contact and the opportunity to build relationships with our courier drivers.
Operations – This area makes up the largest percentage of our workforce. Our operations teams occupy vital roles at the heart of the action, ensuring our customers’ freight or product is sorted, processed, dispatched correctly and that our couriers receive it for delivery on time.
There are a wide range of role types in this business area some of which are directly at the coalface like Freight Sorters, Operations Support and Operations Managers. Whilst analysts and planners work behind the scenes optimising efficiencies and monitoring volumes.
As CourierPost is a 24/6 operation many of our staff work shifts as Courier and Parcels Officers sorting freight in the depots. Meet Sabrina and find out what it's like to work night shift at our Auckland Operations Centre.
Customer Services – Our customer service teams provide the 1st point of contact for our customers and are the face of our business, ensuring we continue to provide exceptional levels of service to our customers.
We have a variety of roles in this area from face to face, front-line Card to Call roles based in the depots, to phone based Customer Care Representatives and Freight Investigators. Our largest call centre is based in the Auckland CBD in our Head Office. Some of these roles are part time with staff actually working from home using state of the art technology. Sales - We employ field and phone based sales people across our different business units, working collaboratively to ensure market share and provide our customers with a full range of services for all their freight, transport and logistics requirements.
Transport – Our transport team are critical to the logistics of our business. Roles range from operational positions such as Drivers and Loadmasters to others at the planning and strategic level, including Network Managers, Line Haul Managers and Analysts. The majority of our drivers are owner operators.
IT, Finance, HR and Marketing provide support across all the business units with the majority of roles based in our head office in Auckland’s CBD.
