Our People

Our commitment to our people and the communities in which we operate is vital if we are to be recognised as a Corporate Responsible organisation.  Contained in this section are recent examples of the support we provide to our communities and human success stories we are proud of:

Our Sponsorships:

Helping KidsCan

Children in over 30 low decile New Zealand schools who come to class each day hungry will be given a brighter start thanks to the KidsCan Charitable Trust. KidsCan is launching their second initiative ‘Food for Kids’ this week to help make a real difference in the lives of children from low income families.

Contract Logistics is proud to assist KidsCan with their warehousing and distribution requirements. Without the support of these very generous sponsors KidsCan could not help the many thousands of children.  Learn more

Auckland Zoo

Following some initial discussion meetings, Auckland Zoo has presented CourierPost with a proposal for sponsorship of the Zoom Cheetah Experience at the Zoo. In exchange for various branding and hosting opportunities, CourierPost will provide a branded vehicle for transporting the cheetahs during the Experience.

The association with the Zoo will also allow us to develop opportunities around conservation, supporting our sustainability platform, potentially with other Zoo supporters.  The sponsorship will also assist us in promoting the importance of family across the business.

Wellington City Mission Foodbank Drive:

As we did last year, CourierPost again provided pick-ups from the collection points (mostly Shell stations) and delivering to the Wellington City Mission. The pick-ups were done by the regular courier as part of their normal cycle. Any areas CourierPost were unable to cover will be covered by Pace.

What’s Really In Our Food?

CourierPost were approached by Top Shelf productions to take part in the TV3 series; ‘What’s Really In Our Food?’ hosted by Petra Baghurst.  What’s Really In Our Food? debunks the myths and delves into the misunderstandings of what’s in our food.

Four couriers from CourierPost’s Albany depot volunteered to take part in the show. Amrit Singh, Amrish Anand, Fazil Faimeen and Steven Dale participated in an experiment which looked at Omega 3s in different types of fish and how they positively affect psychological aspects such as stress, memory and mood as well as physiological characteristics like cholesterol levels and blood pressure. Couriers were chosen as an ideal participant for this experiment because the job is one that is known to involve time pressure and physical exertion.  Our participation in the show also helped reinforce our internal messaging regarding the importance of healthy eating.
